Solar Jooce is a social enterprise that seeks to eliminate barriers to affordable energy - starting with communities at the Base of Pyramid (BoP), while also providing sustainable solutions for middle income households and SMEs.

We have  strong roots in community service and development in Nigeria. We have led Renewable Energy awareness campaigns across all 36 states of the country, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) - providing basic solar units to Primary Healthcare centres and farmers, and replacing their use of fossil fuels (kerosene lanterns, oil lanterns).

In October 2010, CNN iList listed Solar Jooce as one of two organisations promoting the use of solar in Nigeria.

In 2012, Solar Jooce also deployed a pan-African project, empowering rural women to build locally-designed pico solar lamps with phone charging capabilities, using locally available materials.

More recently, our testing of efficient Direct Current (DC) solar home systems in off-grid settings for over 5 years has yielded promising results.
