Solar Jooce was founded in 2008 by David Chiedu Agbakoba.
Dave cut his teeth with consumer goods giant Procter and Gamble (Nigeria) where he started as financial analyst in charge of Jos. He was later elevated to financial analyst, directly in charge of the Lagos sales depot - Lagos being the largest sales and distribution hub in Nigeria.
He acquired a keen interest in Renewable Energy while attending the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston (Texas, USA), where in 2005, he earned an Accounting Certificate in Energy (ACE) Diploma from the Bauer Centre for Executive Development.
Since 2004, Agbakoba has been a member of the Global Energy Management Institute (GEMI), which specialises in the study of energy issues, innovation and ethics.
Dave's background also includes a Bachelor's degree in Estate Management from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Purdue University, Indiana (USA).
His most recent work is as a licensed insurance representative in the State of Texas.

| Anne Ngozi Agbakoba |

Solar Jooce also has a presence in Lagos, Nigeria where activities are co-ordinated by Anne. Her qualifications include a BA in French (University of Nigeria, Nsukka); MA French (University of Lagos, Nigeria); Masters in International Law & Diplomacy (University of Lagos, Nigeria); Masters in Banking & Finance (Université de Paris, Sorbonne, France).
Anne's experience is varied, spanning the positions of Corporate Affairs, Treasury and Private Banking (Fidelity Bank and Crystal Bank - both in Nigeria); Sub-Editor (West Africa magazine, London, UK); and Editor-in-Chief/ Managing Director (Computer.com/ Nigeria’s 1st ICT Newspaper).
Anne is in the final phase of her career plan, and combines this with serving rural communities in un-served and underserved areas of Nigeria. Her interest in community development began during a 1995 course with Medicus Mundi, France – an NGO that concentrates on health issues.

Awele Awanyai

Awele Awanyai heads our Project Green Hands campaign which seeks to plant at least 100,000 trees in Lagos state, and other states of Nigeria every year.
Project Green Hands will work, amongst others, with all the Climate Change clubs instituted in Lagos state public schools to achieve this objactive while also encouraging the clubs to maintain a sustained effort at planting and nurturing trees.
The first Green Hands planting exercise took place in July 2011 at CMS Girls' Secondary School in Bariga, Lagos state.
Awele is a final year student, studying Education Administration at the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
